Aureliano Tangoclub

An Argentinean project directed by Aureliano Marin (voice, double bass and guitar), with Esteban Ochoa (piano and accordion), and Martin Rovaretti (drum set and percussion). Aureliano Tangoclub uniquely incorporates popular tangos, vals, milongas and candombes in the format of a typical jazz trio. Using polyrhythm and improvisations, the band blends the colors of jazz and tango phrases. Besides a traditional repertoire from the famous Golden Age of Tango Argentino, the trio also performs their own original pieces that depict the glories and miseries of a fascinating city as Buenos Aires in a more contemporary sound. Aureliano Tangoclub from the southern hemisphere brings to the audience the fervent energy of Afro-American music from Rio de la Plata with the nostalgic gentleness and the rudeness of the big city.
