Roxana Suárez y Sebastián Achával
Roxana started listening to tango music when she was in her mother’s womb. Her mother used to go to the milonga organized by her grandmother Martita in Congreso area. She grew up surrounded by tango, watching the best dancers of those times, practicing since she was very young in Buenos Aires milongas, and learning with the best teachers.
Sebastián knew about tango when he was 15. A friend of his enrolled him in the Tango School. That would take him, without knowing it, to a key path in his life. Born in Neuquén and raised in Azul, he decided to move to Buenos Aires, the tango’s capital city, to pursue his professional career. In 2005, he took part in the Tango World Championship, and he became, along with Ximena Gallicchio, the Salon Tango World Champion.
Together they started working together in February 2007. Since then, they have been teaching group and private lessons in well-known venues and milongas in Buenos Aires, and they usually perform in the most famous dance floors of the city. Also, they participate in festivals around the world with their seminars and exhibitions, and they visit important cities in America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
